Banca March has launched, through its management company March Asset Management (A.M.), March International – March Climate Solutions, a thematic fund of global equities that seeks to invest in companies and sectors that provide solutions to the challenges posed by climate change, global warming and that promote the decarbonization of the economy in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
The fund invests 100% of its portfolio in listed companies worldwide and is structured around 10 macro trends related to environmental care and with growth potential higher than that of the global economy as a whole.
These major trends include renewable energies, the circular economy, energy efficiency, and technology, which, in turn, are focused on different sectors such as industry, discretionary or basic consumption, and finance. Sectors that, in the current market environment, benefit from falling costs, a favorable regulatory environment, and increased aid for climate solutions.
March Climate Solutions is classified as Item 8 under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) and is eligible to be offered to clients with sustainability preferences.
Within the Luxembourg range (March International), Iberia, Mediterranean Fund, and March Green Transition Bond are also classified as Article 8, demonstrating the strong commitment of the Banca March group to sustainability and care for the planet.
“Climate change is a reality that we have to face from all areas, and the financial sector cannot be an exception. For years, Banca March has been committed to products that make sustainability compatible with profitable investment. This new fund is a further step in this direction and is also aligned with customers who are increasingly aware of the need to take care of the planet”.
