Carmignac is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacques Hirsch as co-manager of Carmignac Portfolio Patrimoine Europe, a flexible, socially responsible fund with a mixed allocation to Europe.

Jacques Hirsch will join us on July 3, 2023, and will work from London. He will assume the responsibilities previously held by Keith Ney, who has left Carmignac for personal reasons. Jacques will be responsible for managing the fixed income part, the macro component, risk management, and the portfolio structuring of the Carmignac Portfolio Patrimoine Europe. He will also be part of Carmignac's Strategic Investment Committee, responsible for developing strong market convictions as well as providing macroeconomic analysis to the entire investment team.

Jacques Hirsch will join Carmignac from Ruffer, where he has worked since 2011, most recently as co-manager of a flexible multi-asset fund with several billion assets under management that is currently a 5-star rated fund by Morningstar and is in the top quartile for 1, 3, and 5 years and was in the top decile in 2022. He has spent most of his career in asset management and has worked for Goldman Sachs and GLG Partners. He holds a degree from École Centrale Paris and a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford.

In the interim period before Jacques' arrival, the management of the fixed income component of Carmignac Portfolio Patrimoine Europe has been entrusted to Marie-Anne Allier, an experienced fixed income manager and co-manager of the flagship Carmignac Sécurité fund since 2019. The equity component of Carmignac Portfolio Patrimoine Europe will continue to be managed by Mark Denham.

Carmignac Patrimoine will continue to be co-managed by Rose Ouahba, head of the fixed income team, and David Older, head of the equity team. The Strategic Investment Committee, of which Rose and David are members, continues to make contributions to portfolio structuring and risk management, a valuable support designed to incorporate a comprehensive 360-degree view into both portfolio and risk management.
