AllianceBernstein has announced today the launch of two new funds: AB European Growth Portfolio and AB Global Growth Portfolio. Both products will be managed by the same team, led by Thorsten Winkelmann, and also integrated by Robert Hofmann, Marcus Morris-Eyton, Darina Valkova and Nicolas Gonçalves, all of them coming from Allianz Global Investors and incorporated into the firm last January.

The team aims to benefit in the long term from the capitalization power granted by owning shares in high-quality companies with structural growth. In addition, they have a clear collaborative structure and have spent most of their careers together investing in this way.

Investment Philosophy

The philosophy and process of the team will be the same in both funds, and will be based on a thorough upward fundamental analysis focused on understanding the business models of companies, as well as their growth drivers.

The funds will invest in companies with clear sustainable competitive advantages, pricing power and high entry barriers. With a clear focus on risk management, the process consists of three steps: idea generation, fundamental due diligence and portfolio construction.

The team aims to invest with a long-term mindset (5-10 years) that has been proven over time through a consistent selection of values driven by their own fundamental analysis.

Their goal is to identify companies that the market has not yet fully recognized and that have quality franchises, with solid competitive structures and with a potential for structural growth of profits and cash flows that is above average.

Keeping these companies in the long term means that these profits and cash flows are capitalized over long periods. The AB European Growth fund portfolio is a high conviction, unconstrained, bottom-up portfolio of approximately 40 to 60 mid/large cap companies. The AB Global Growth fund portfolio is a high conviction, unconstrained, bottom-up portfolio of approximately 50 to 80 mid/large cap companies. Both funds will be classified as article 8 funds.

quote

The team and I are thrilled to launch these funds at AllianceBernstein. We have a philosophy and an approach that have stood the test of time. As a team, we have dedicated most of our careers to these strategies and have demonstrated their success over time. I believe they complement the current range of AB strategies.

While we benefit from AB's extensive resources and global presence, its collaborative and entrepreneurial multiboutique structure allows us to continue working together as we always have.
