WisdomTree Launches a Multithematic ETF for Megatrend Investments

WisdomTree has recently launched a new ETF that offers investors diversified exposure to 14 themes through a single instrument. The WisdomTree Megatrends UCITS ETF (WMGT), the eleventh ETF in WisdomTree's range of thematic equity UCITS ETFs, has been made available for trading. This new fund aims to track the performance of the WisdomTree Global Megatrends Equity Index, with a total fee of 0.50%.

The WMGT was initially listed today on the Börse Xetra and will also be listed on the London Stock Exchange starting from December 12, 2023. The underlying index is designed to follow the performance of global companies involved in global megatrends, encompassing social, technological, environmental, or geopolitical changes defined in WisdomTree's Thematic Classification and meeting WisdomTree's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria.

This launch marks a milestone in the evolution of WisdomTree's thematic ETF analysis and platform. Since 2018, WisdomTree has introduced several expert-managed thematic ETFs and developed high-quality analysis for crafting strategies on individual themes and thematic portfolios. Utilizing WisdomTree's in-depth thematic analysis, the WisdomTree Megatrends UCITS ETF has been structured with three layers of alpha generation:

1. Strategic thematic allocation: provides selective exposure to the most promising themes while maximizing diversification among different megatrends.
2. Tactical thematic allocation: allows the strategy to adapt and overweight themes when a combination of positive factors creates a virtuous cycle for a particular theme.
3. Thematic stock selection: leverages expertise in various themes to select the most relevant emerging companies for each of them.
