Artemis has continued the strengthening of its global investment capabilities with the appointment of Natasha Ebtehadj as part of the team managing the open-ended Artemis Funds (Lux) Global Select*.
She will be based in London and work alongside Artemis’ recently appointed Head of Global Equities, Alex Stanic, and Simon Edelsten. She starts with the firm on 12th June 2023.
Ebtehadj joins from Columbia Threadneedle Investment (CTI), where she has been a portfolio manager on the Global Select team and adjacent strategies, for retail and institutional clients.
Within the global equity strategy, she currently has sector responsibility for consumer stocks, financials, and emerging markets. She is also deputy manager of the Global Sustainable Outcomes Fund, which is a Luxembourg-based responsible investment fund.
She spent more than 14 years at CTI and started her investment career at Morgan Stanley as an analyst in 2006. She is a fluent Cantonese speaker, as well as being conversant in Mandarin and Spanish.
“This is another great hire for the firm as Natasha brings a wealth of experience, which will make a great contribution to the outcomes we aim to achieve for our global equity clients. Her additional experience in emerging markets, as well as multi-asset and sustainable strategies, will complement the existing talent the firm has in these areas”.
Alex Stanic, Artemis’ Head of Global Equities.
“We believe Natasha’s appointment helps broaden and deepen the investment expertise we can deploy to manage global assets. Many of our clients share Artemis’ long-term commitment to the importance of global equities as a core, long-term element in portfolios whether that is for institutional or wholesale investors. Her appointment further strengthens our capabilities in global equities and over time she will help enable us to broaden our offering in this space”.
Paras Anand, Artemis’ CIO.
In 2018 Ebtehadj was named Fund Manager of the Year in the annual Women in Finance Awards for ‘furthering the cause of encouraging a healthy talent pipeline for women entering the asset management industry.,’ while maintaining a strong set of investment returns.
Artemis will announce the third new member of its global equity team shortly.
