M&G signs Elisabeth Stheeman ex-BoE Financial Policy Committee member

M&G Strengthens Board with Appointment of Elisabeth Stheeman as Non-Executive Director

M&G has announced the appointment of Elisabeth Stheeman as a non-executive director, effective from 1st August. Stheeman will also join the firm's audit and risk committees, bringing a wealth of experience to these crucial oversight roles.

Currently serving as the chair of the Edinburgh Investment Trust and holding non-executive director positions at WP Carey and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank's audit and risk committee, Stheeman's expertise spans diverse sectors, including banking, real estate, private equity, and investment management.

Stheeman's extensive executive background includes senior roles at LaSalle Investment Management and Morgan Stanley, accumulating over 30 years of experience in various leadership capacities.

Prior to joining M&G, Stheeman served on the Bank of England's Financial Policy Committee (FPC) and Financial Markets Infrastructure (FMI) board, concluding her tenure in February 2024 and December 2023, respectively. Her deep understanding of financial markets and regulatory dynamics will be invaluable in guiding M&G's strategic direction and risk management practices.

Edward Braham, Chair of M&G, expressed his enthusiasm for Stheeman's appointment, highlighting her exceptional qualifications and diverse expertise.
