AllianceBernstein announced today the launch of its active ETFs business in Europe. The firm is launching three Luxembourg-domiciled UCITS fixed income vehicles —AB Global Corporate Bond UCITS ETF, AB USD Corporate Bond UCITS ETF and AB EUR Corporate Bond UCITS ETF— which will be listed on the London Stock Exchange, Borsa Italiana, Börse Xetra and SIX Swiss Exchange.
The new ETFs aim to offer European investors AB's active management capabilities through its Luxembourg UCITS platform. These are exposures to corporate debt with global reach, in US dollars and euros, designed as basic components of fixed income to provide efficient and diversified access to corporate bond markets.
With this launch, AB expands its global ETF platform and brings to the European public strategies that aim to complement core fixed income allocations through UCITS structures with multiple listings on the main European markets.
The three funds have been designed to add active returns in a recurring and diversified manner, keeping risk generally aligned with their benchmark indices and with a tight tracking of them. To this end, the portfolios rely on AB's systematic fixed income platform, which integrates more than two decades of proprietary data, internal predictive technology for bond selection and the team's experience in research and liquidity management.
The European landing is the first step in a roadmap that plans to expand the regional range of ETFs and strengthen local resources. Globally, AB manages more than 17,000 million dollars in 27 ETFs spread across the United States, Asia and Australia, and the arrival in Europe consolidates its long-term commitment to ETFs as a key vehicle within its investment solutions.
The expansion to the European ETF market is based on our historical commitment to customers and our ability to meet their changing needs. These ETFs are designed to meet the growing demand for accessibility, transparency, liquidity and real-time quotation, while maintaining AB's active approach.
