Amundi has announced the launch of Amundi Funds Global Bond Income, an actively managed fund that aims to generate recurring income through a global and diversified exposure to fixed income. According to the company's statement, the fund adopts a flexible approach focused on cash flow production and downside risk management.
The fund invests in a wide range of bond instruments, including asset-backed securities, government bonds, corporate bonds, and emerging market debt. The goal is to take advantage of the current yield levels available, selecting asset classes capable of offering consistent and interesting income profiles.
Amundi Funds Global Bond Income aims to increase the value of the investment (mainly through income generation) in the recommended holding period of 3 years, while achieving an ESG score higher than that of the investment universe. The fund promotes ESG characteristics under Article 8 of the SFDR Regulation[1]. This means that issuers with relatively higher ESG scores are favored and exposures to issuers with controversial behaviors or products are limited or excluded.
The management is entrusted to Grégoire Pesques, fund manager and CIO of Global Fixed Income at Amundi, who combines a top-down allocation among the different areas of fixed income with a bottom-up selection of securities supported by extensive credit research.
Amundi Funds Global Bond Income is available to all types of investors in ten countries: Austria, Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, and Singapore
