Amundi adds three thematic ETFs to its range, offering exposure to the physical enablers of artificial intelligence (AI) and Future Technology: space, critical metals and electrification.
Benoit Sorel, Head of Amundi’s ETF and Indexing business line, places the launches within the acceleration of its thematic offering, which this summer already added two ETFs focused on memory chips and data centers. The three new funds have been listed on Xetra and Euronext Paris since today, October 20.
The Amundi Global Space Technologies UCITS ETF provides exposure to the space value chain, from infrastructure and launch vehicles to ground stations, which are essential for navigation, surveillance and global connectivity.
The Amundi Global Critical Metals & Rare Earths UCITS ETF seeks to invest in companies operating in the metals and rare earths sector, which are essential to the development of the AI value chain and energy technologies.
The Amundi Global Electrification Infrastructure UCITS ETF targets companies enabling the electrification of the economy, power grids, and transmission and distribution infrastructure, which are key to meeting the structural growth in electricity demand and ensuring grid reliability.
Juan San Pío links the three products to the rise of AI:
"Investors are increasingly seeking more targeted positions that allow them to capitalize on opportunities arising from major economic and technological transformations. Artificial intelligence is a clear example, as its development is driving investment needs in areas such as critical metals, electrification and space technologies. With the launch of these new solutions, Amundi is responding to this demand and strengthening its thematic ETF offering, providing investors with new tools to express their market views with greater precision."

Demand for thematic exposure continues to grow, both among professional investors and in the retail segment and on digital platforms. Following the two memory chip and data center ETFs launched this summer, the latest batch expands the offering to include critical metals, power grids, and space infrastructure.
In Europe, net inflows into thematic ETFs have reached almost €22 billion in 2026, a record year for the European ETF market, according to Amundi data as of September 15.
Benoit Sorel sums up the range’s objective as follows:
"With these three ETFs, Amundi is accelerating the development of its thematic solutions range, offering both retail and institutional investors a more targeted way to access specific, high-conviction themes such as AI and Future Technology."
