Arcano Partners, the international independent financial advisory and alternative asset management firm, and Kitra Advisory, a financial advisory boutique founded by Giuseppe Latorre (former partner and global head of Deal Advisory Financial Services and EMA Deal Advisory Head at KPMG) and Fabrizio Montaruli (former Corporate Finance head at KPMG in Rome), have signed a long-term strategic partnership agreement in the Italian market.
Giuseppe Latorre and Fabrizio Montaruli, respectively CEO and Chairman and CEO of Kitra Advisory, control an 80% stake in the company while the remaining 20% is held by Italian lender IBL Banca which supports the company as an anchor, financial and industrial investor.
The alliance, with which Arcano Partners advances its international expansion strategy, aims to support the creation of an independent boutique focused on M&A transactions in Italy. The objective of this agreement is to combine Arcano’s more than twenty years of experience in investment banking, an area in which the firm is a leader in Spain and Portugal, with Kitra Advisory's strong specialization in strategic advisory for financial institutions to make Kitra Advisory a leader in the Italian mid-market in the medium term.
In addition, and thanks to Kitra Advisory's strong ties with the leading Italian financial institutions (banks, insurance companies, private banking), the alliance will accelerate the growth of Arcano Partners' alternative asset management business and develop Arcano Research, expanding Arcano Partners' market analysis and macroeconomic research unit, as well as the Asset & Capital Finance (ACF) business in Italy. Paule Ansoleaga, Managing Director of Arcano Italy, will continue to lead the firm's Asset Management business development in Italy.
In line with the continuity of this significant partnership, the teams of Arcano Partners and Kitra in Italy will work together in the Milan office.
