ARK Invest Europe has announced the debut of its first European Ucits ETFs under the guidance of Cathie Wood.

The launch announcement follows the rebranding of Rize ETF into ARK Invest Europe after its acquisition by the US-based ARK Invest in September 2023, boasting $5 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2023.

Comprising three actively managed ETFs, the lineup will span innovation, the genomic revolution, and AI and robotics.

Among the offerings is a European iteration of the firm's flagship $14 billion ARK Innovation strategy, with each strategy focusing on disruptive innovation under active management.

All three funds are designated as Article 8 under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation, featuring an ongoing charge of 0.75%.

Cathie Wood articulated the firm's mission to empower investors to capitalize on the "most promising innovation of our age."

"The convergence of disruptive technologies across sectors is accelerating at an unprecedented pace, and we believe it presents one of the most exciting investment opportunities right now," she expressed.

The ETFs made their debut on Deutsche Börse Xetra on April 17, followed by listings on the London Stock Exchange and the CBOE Amsterdam on April 18. Listings on the Borsa Italiana and SIX Swiss Exchange are expected in the coming weeks.

ARK Innovation Ucits ETF (ARKK)

Defined as technologically enabled new products or services poised to reshape the world, the fund investing in companies driving 'disruptive innovation' seeks opportunities across various sectors. These companies either lead, enable, rely on, or benefit from advancements in genomics, automation and manufacturing, transportation, energy, AI, materials, infrastructure, and shared technology, among others.

Cathie Wood, founder of ARK Invest, emphasized that their flagship fund, ARKK, focuses on the convergence of five innovation platforms: AI, robotics, multiomic sequencing, public blockchains, and energy storage. She described ARKK as strategically positioned to capitalize on an impending economic transformation expected to surpass the historical milestones of previous industrial revolutions.

Wood highlighted the remarkable impact of AI, noting its role in drastically reducing the cost of written content creation from hundreds of dollars per article to mere cents. Additionally, she pointed out the significant decrease in AI training costs by 75% annually. These observations instill confidence in ARK Invest that AI will drive substantial changes across various economic sectors, leading to a significant increase in the global equity market value tied to innovation, projected to reach over 60% by 2030 from the current 16%.

ARK Genomic Revolution Ucits ETF (ARKG)

ARKG is dedicated to investing in companies at the forefront of the genomic revolution. These companies are deeply committed to leveraging technological and scientific breakthroughs in genomics to enhance and prolong human and other life forms. They achieve this by integrating genomic sequencing, analysis, synthesis, or instrumentation into their business models, offering innovative products or services that harness the power of genomics.

The companies within ARKG's portfolio span multiple sectors, including healthcare, information technology, materials, energy, and consumer discretionary. They may engage in the development, production, manufacturing, or utilization of bionic devices, bio-inspired computing, bioinformatics, molecular medicine, and agricultural biotechnology, among other areas.

Through ARKG, investors gain access to a diverse range of companies driving advancements in genomics and revolutionizing industries to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities alike.

ARK Artificial Intelligence & Robotics Ucits ETF (ARKI)

ARKI is poised to invest in companies driving innovation in AI, autonomous technology, and robotics, focusing on the development of groundbreaking products, services, and technological advancements. These companies stand to benefit from disruptive innovations across various sectors, including AI, automation, manufacturing, transportation, energy, and materials.

As an actively managed fund, ARKI is uniquely positioned to target the most dynamic and promising investment opportunities within the AI and robotics ecosystem. Unlike other European Ucits ETFs that primarily replicate indices, ARKI adopts an active investment approach, carefully selecting investments to maximize potential returns in this rapidly evolving landscape.

Through ARKI, investors gain access to a curated portfolio of companies leading the charge in AI, autonomous technology, and robotics, positioning themselves at the forefront of innovation and reshaping industries for the future.
