Capital Group has partnered with Deutsche Bank Private Bank to distribute the Capital Group Multi-Sector Income Fund (LUX) (MSI) to its clients worldwide. MSI will complement Deutsche Bank Private Bank's ESG Strategic Asset Allocation funds, which offer investors access to Deutsche Bank's leading multi-asset indexed solution.
The Capital Group Multi-Sector Income Fund combines four key fixed income sectors with differential income characteristics - investment grade corporate bonds, high yield corporate bonds, emerging market bonds and securitized credit - into a single portfolio, offering the potential for attractive and reliable income. Other potential benefits of the fund include diversification with four income drivers, the flexibility to tilt exposure in changing markets, and a balanced risk profile.
True to Capital Group's investment approach, MSI is managed by multiple managers and not by a single manager. It has five managers with an average investment experience of 23 years.
MSI is classified as Article 8 under SFDR, applies ESG and standards-based criteria; as well as a carbon footprint objective.
Many investors worldwide have fled markets for cash. However, as the Fed's rate hikes approach their end, history shows that fixed income outperformed cash after the Fed finished raising rates. We believe the time has come to abandon cash. Adopting a multi-sector approach to fixed income could help investors better capture the income-generating power of bonds. With income back in fixed income, we are pleased to partner with Deutsche Bank Private Bank to offer their clients worldwide access to a potential source of reliable income through MSI.
