Artemis has continued the strengthening of its global investment capabilities with the appointment of Swetha Ramachandran as part of the team managing the Artemis Funds (Lux) - Global Select*. Artemis also plans to develop strategies that align with Swetha’s expertise in Global Consumer sectors.

Ramachandran joins from GAM, where she has spent more than a decade. She has been the lead portfolio manager of the GAM Luxury Brands Fund since 2019.

She started her investment career at Goldman Sachs in Singapore in 1999 as an analyst covering Asian airlines. She spent a year in Paris at independent ESG ratings agency Vigeo analysing pan-European TMT stocks, and then three years with AllianceBernstein focusing on European consumer staples, discretionary, and media sectors. Ramachandran is a fluent French and Hindi speaker, as well as being conversant in Tamil and Spanish.
