BNP Paribas Asset Management has today, September 22, 2026, launched a new global organization that reorganizes its businesses around three major lines and an executive committee, with the aim of accelerating the execution of its 2030 strategic plan.
The manager, led by Sandro Pierri, CEO of BNP Paribas AM, manages more than 1.7 trillion euros in assets and seeks to leverage the scale of its joint platform to grow among institutional clients, insurers, individuals and private banking.
The Alternative Assets line, led by Isabelle Scemama, Deputy CEO of BNP Paribas AM, maintains its integrated investment and customer support model, with the support of Deborah Shire as deputy director of the unit.
With more than thirty years of experience in real estate, infrastructure, alternative credit and private equity, the unit seeks to expand its offer and capture more third-party capital within the 2030 strategic plan.
The Investments line, led by Rob Gambi, global investment director, groups fixed income, fundamental active equity, multi-asset and systematic and quantitative investments of the manager. Its objective is to expand the scale of active management and accelerate the development of the ETF and index fund business.
The Global Client Group Liquid Strategies, led by Steven Billiet, director of liquid strategies of the Global Client Group, seeks to strengthen commercial coordination between markets and product lines and accelerate growth among institutional clients, insurers, retailers and private banking.
The business lines are supported by strengthened cross-functional roles. The Global COO Office, led by Philippe Boulenguiez, global operations director, will drive operational excellence relying on technology and data.
The General Secretariat, led by Jean Christophe Ménioux, general secretary, will integrate corporate governance, finance, legal affairs, risks and regulatory compliance of BNP Paribas AM.
Marion Azuelos, global director of human resources, will lead the development of people and corporate culture, while Justyna Dajka, global director of strategic alliances, will coordinate relationships with insurance sector partners.
Patrick Simion, transformation director, will translate strategic priorities into execution relying on artificial intelligence and technology, including digital assets and tokenization.
The Sustainability area, led by Jane Ambachtsheer, global director of sustainability, will incorporate a cross-cutting Sustainability Center with specialists integrated into Investments and Alternative Assets. Marie Bogataj, director of communication and brand, will reinforce the positioning of the manager as a European reference.
To coordinate these priorities, BNP Paribas AM creates an executive committee chaired by Sandro Pierri and composed of Isabelle Scemama, Rob Gambi, Steven Billiet, Jean Christophe Ménioux, Marion Azuelos, Philippe Boulenguiez and Deborah Shire.
"Our strategic plan sets a clear ambition for BNP Paribas Asset Management and defines the areas in which we want to grow. Our new organizational model will allow us to go even further in providing value to our clients and accelerate the execution of our strategic priorities. It provides us with the scale and capabilities necessary to deepen our relationships, leverage the full strength of the BNP Paribas Group and generate long-term value for our clients."

BNP Paribas AM has formalized the appointment of 200 managers within the new structure to date, and anticipates new announcements in the coming months.
The deployment comes just two weeks after the manager appointed Sol Hurtado de Mendoza as CEO for Spain and distribution manager for Spain and Portugal, reinforcing its structure in Iberia.
