Candriam announced today the launch of a maturity fund, Candriam Bonds Euro Corporate 2036, aimed at capturing opportunities in long-term investment grade corporate bonds.
The strategy arises from the evolution and repositioning of the Candriam Bonds Euro Long Term fund to reflect this new approach.
The vehicle, actively managed, primarily invests in corporate bonds denominated in euros issued by investment grade companies. It adopts a buy & monitor approach, keeping the portfolio values in line with the 2036 maturity horizon. With this structure, the manager seeks to offer investors greater visibility over their time horizon, while aiming to capture the carry available in the current market environment.
The launch takes place in a favorable context for high-quality long-term corporate credit, with more attractive yield levels in the long part of the curve and issuer fundamentals that, in general terms, remain solid.
Classified as Article 8 according to SFDR, the fund integrates ESG criteria throughout the investment process, in line with Candriam's responsible investment approach. The strategy is based on the firm's previous experience in target maturity solutions and strengthens its fixed income platform, which manages around 61,000 million euros and is backed by more than 40 experts.
The management falls on Yohanne Levy as the main manager and Philippe Dehoux, Head of Global Bonds, as co-manager. With this launch, Candriam expands its range of strategies in European credit and adapts its offer to the evolution of investor needs.
The current market environment is creating an attractive entry point for long-term investors in high-quality corporate bonds. With this new fund with a target maturity in 2036, we offer a solution that aims to combine attractive yield levels with a clear investment horizon and solid credit quality. It also reflects our ability to continuously evolve our platform and provide our clients with relevant and forward-looking solutions.
