Columbia Threadneedle Investments has received approval from the Central Bank of Ireland to launch its QR (Quant Redefined) Series of four active UCITS ETFs covering US, European, Global, and Emerging Markets equities.
The launch begins with US and European equity ETFs listed on Frankfurt, Deutsche Börse Xetra, and Zurich’s SIX Swiss Exchange, followed shortly by Global and Emerging Markets ETFs. London Stock Exchange listings will follow in due course.
The QR Series brings Columbia Threadneedle’s successful US ETF approach to Europe, combining quantitative and fundamental research to select high-conviction stocks while reducing exposure to weaker performers. Portfolios are actively managed, rebalanced semi-annually, and aim to deliver alpha with a tracking error of 2–4%.
Our QR Series ETFs are designed to offer European investors an active, research-driven equity solution with cost efficiency and long-term outperformance potential.

State Street Investment Management supports the launch through its “ETF as a Service” platform, enabling efficient market access and infrastructure solutions.
Investors increasingly seek strategies that blend transparency, liquidity, cost efficiency, and performance. Our QR Series delivers the proven alpha of our US strategies, tailored for European markets.
