DJE - Zins & Dividende, the flagship fund of German fund manager DJE Kapital, has achieved a significant milestone by exceeding €4 billion in assets under management (AUM). This growth underscores the strong resurgence of multi-asset solutions in 2024, driven by the divergent performance of equities and bonds, which has created renewed opportunities for diversified investments.
The separation in the performance of equities and bonds has once again highlighted the benefits of mixed funds, allowing investors to capitalise on the strengths of both asset classes. The DJE - Zins & Dividende fund, managed by Dr. Jan Ehrhardt, adopts a defensive allocation, currently holding 53.62% bonds, 44.78% equities, and 1.60% cash as of August 2024. The focus on quality bonds with an A rating and a duration of four years reflects a cautious yet opportunistic approach, while sectors such as financials, healthcare, and consumer goods are favoured in the equities portfolio. The fund has recently reduced its exposure to technology stocks in favour of bonds due to market uncertainties.
Over the past five years, DJE - Zins & Dividende has navigated through turbulent times, including the global pandemic, geopolitical tensions, and rising interest rates. Despite these challenges, the fund has consistently outperformed its peers with lower volatility, demonstrating the strength of its diversified approach. Dr. Ehrhardt, who has managed the fund since its inception in 2011, attributes its success to active risk management and the ability to adapt to evolving market conditions.
DJE - Zins & Dividende has proven that multi-asset strategies offer a robust investment opportunity, especially in difficult markets. Launched in the aftermath of the financial crisis, we have already navigated the fund through some turbulent times. Our investors have always been able to rely on us to identify new market opportunities and actively manage risks at the same time.
Dr. Ehrhardt, Deputy CEO of DJE Kapital AG and fund manager of the balanced mixed fund.
