DWS launches three new actively managed ETFs

DWS has announced the launch of Xtrackers Equity Enhanced Active UCITS, three new actively managed ETFs that expand its offering in this type of vehicles. This is an innovative category of products that combines the advantages of active portfolio management with the liquidity and transparency of ETFs.
These new products are based on DWS's systematic equity strategies, with a long track record of success. The three ETFs, focused on global, European and American equity markets, began trading on the German Stock Exchange on May 30 and are expected to be included soon in other stock exchanges.
These new Xtrackers ETFs are based on a proven and disciplined investment approach that the Qi Research and Investment team at DWS has been implementing since 2001. The goal is to achieve continuous outperformance (alpha), with respect to the respective benchmark index, while managing risk in relation to that index. The expected tracking error is between 0.75% and 1.5%.
These ETFs can serve as fundamental elements for individual allocation among different asset classes, with the aim of diversifying risk and achieving the highest possible return. They are especially suitable for investors who wish to combine active, risk-aware management with the high liquidity and transparency of an ETF.
Investment Strategy
The investment strategy is based on a systematic and multidimensional analysis of the relative attractiveness of stocks in the investment universe using fundamental and technical indicators. Portfolios are reoptimized monthly and are actively managed, in accordance with clearly defined risk parameters.
The launch of the Xtrackers Equity Enhanced Active UCITS ETFs is an important part of DWS's long-term product strategy. The offering has already been expanded previously by combining active and passive experience.
