Edmond de Rothschild REIM appoints Benoit de la Boulaye as Investment Director for Europe

Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management (REIM) has announced today the appointment of Benoit de la Boulaye as the new Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Europe, effective from July 3, 2024.
Based in London and under the orders of Pierre Jacquot, co-CEO of Edmond de Rothschild REIM, Benoit de la Boulaye will contribute to the definition of the company's strategy and will oversee the implementation of investment funds, mandates and new and existing projects for the pan-European real estate investment platform. He also joins the executive committee of Edmond de Rothschild REIM, where he will work hand in hand with Bert-Jan Scheffer, Director of Product and Business Development, Theo Soeters, Fund Management Director, as well as with local directors in continental Europe and the United Kingdom to support business growth. He will also work closely with the rest of the Edmond de Rothschild Group to strengthen its position in the field of private markets.
In his role as the new CIO for Europe of Edmond de Rothschild REIM, Benoit will also be a key representative of the company in the real estate sector in general, focusing both on defining the vision of the investment house of the platform, with the support of specialists from across the firm, and on maintaining key relationships with relevant partners to support fundraising. Internally, he will chair the investment committees and oversee the flow of operations in Europe.
Professional Career
Benoit de la Boulaye brings experience and leadership in managing real estate businesses for a leading financial institution and has been active in the industry for nearly two decades. In his most recent position, Benoit was Global CIO of BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management and CEO of BNPP REIM UK. He first joined BNPP REIM in 2011 performing a series of fund management roles in France before joining the London office in 2019. Previously, Benoit worked for The Boston Consulting Group in Paris and began his career in the finance and strategy department of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations. He holds a degree in business with a specialization in finance from the University Paris Dauphine and has a master's in management from the French business school ESCP-EAP.
