Leon Kamhi, Head of Responsibility and EOS at Federated Hermes Limited, highlights EOS's mission of offering an active ownership model that allows more than 70 institutional investors to achieve their financial and non-financial goals. With a multidisciplinary, international team of over 40 people across Europe and the United States, EOS focuses on critical aspects of corporate performance, including corporate governance, business purpose, climate change, human capital, and human rights.
Kamhi explains that EOS’s active engagement with companies and policymakers is built on advanced techniques and tracking tools that allow for measuring progress and outcomes. In a context where demand for responsible investing continues to grow, EOS positions itself as a key player for investors seeking both positive impact and profitability.
Looking to the next 20 years, EOS remains committed to generating financial and social value through its stewardship approach. According to Mike Wills, Head of EOS Business Development & Client Management, a recent survey among EOS clients reveals a consensus on the importance of enhancing financial results while also achieving positive real-world impact. This includes efforts towards natural ecosystem recovery, effective decarbonization, reducing inequality, and improving labor conditions.
Clients also emphasize the need for companies and policymakers to adopt longer-term planning horizons, allowing better alignment of strategic and capital investment decisions with the transition to a sustainable economy. This holistic approach seeks for all stakeholders—from investors to lawmakers—to contribute to developing an inclusive, resilient global economy, addressing both current and future market and planetary challenges.
