Fulcrum Asset Management has received regulatory approval for its latest offering, the WS Fulcrum Diversified Private Markets Long Term Asset Fund (LTAF), targeting professional investors including pension schemes, charities, and wealth managers. This fund, launching on November 29, 2024, aims to provide investors access to a broad range of private market assets.
This is Fulcrum’s second LTAF, following its earlier single-employer DC pension fund offering. The WS Fulcrum Diversified Private Markets LTAF is designed as an open-ended UK OEIC, focusing on long-term capital growth through diversified private assets, such as value-add real estate, infrastructure, natural resources, alternative credit, and private equity, including venture capital. Notably, the fund will employ a flat-fee structure, enhancing cost transparency for investors.
Matthew Roberts, Head of Fulcrum Alternative Solutions, highlighted the fund’s role in democratizing access to private markets for professional investors.
We are thrilled to be bringing our LTAF to the broader professional investor marketplace. We’ve taken time to ensure that we are offering investors a carefully designed entry point to private markets. Ever since we started the Fulcrum Alternative Solutions team, our goal has been to solve the challenges that investors have faced when it comes to accessing alternatives and this fund launch represents a significant milestone in that journey.

LTAFs, endorsed by the Productive Finance Working Group, allow investors to gain exposure to less liquid assets that promote UK economic growth by channeling investments into unlisted companies, technology, and infrastructure. This product aligns with the UK’s initiative to boost long-term capital deployment into projects that drive job creation and innovation, supporting national economic objectives.
Fulcrum’s LTAF employs an open-architecture model, selecting top-tier illiquid specialists to source high-quality investment opportunities. The addition of this LTAF underscores Fulcrum’s commitment to diversifying investment opportunities within private markets for its clients.
