Generali Investments will launch its first actively managed exchange-traded funds for European investors by the end of this year, in a move that will expand its investment platform into the ETF segment.
The initiative is part of the group's strategy to strengthen its offering of active investment solutions and facilitate customer access to a more diversified range of financial instruments.
As part of this rollout, Generali Investments will launch in the second half of the year a variable capital investment company (ICAV) with its own brand and dedicated entirely to this activity. The management of the investments will be delegated to the subsidiaries that are part of the Generali Investments platform, with the aim of leveraging the specialized capabilities already existing within the group.
The new ETFs will be listed on various European exchanges, which will allow their distribution throughout the region and will expand their reach among European market investors.
The first range of products will consist of a selection of strategies from the Generali Investments platform, structured as active ETFs in both equity and fixed income. In this initial phase, Generali Asset Management, Global Evolution, Sycomore AM and Plenisfer will participate, managers who will bring their experience in different asset classes and investment approaches.
In addition, the firm plans to continue expanding this offer throughout 2027 with new ETF launches developed in conjunction with other subsidiaries, pointing to a progressive expansion of its presence in this market.
This strategic initiative is based on our extensive experience in active management to offer an innovative range of ETF strategies to our institutional investors. It represents a key milestone for our investment platform, as we continue to evolve in line with customer expectations in a context of ongoing macroeconomic uncertainty.
Filippo Casagrande, Investment Director of Generali Investments
Leveraging the complementary capabilities of the companies in our platform, we will offer a diversified range of ETFs that combine selected strategies with the key features of the ETF structure, including transparency, liquidity, and intraday trading.
