iM Global Partner (iMGP) has announced a new strategic partnership with the American manager Longfellow Investment Management (LIM), in a move that expands its fixed income offering and brings the American firm's strategies to a larger number of investors in the United States and Europe.
Longfellow IM manages 25,000 million dollars and has over 40 years of experience in the markets. The firm began its journey as a specialist in domestic fixed income and alternative investments, but over time has expanded its catalog to cover fixed income, equity, absolute return and alternative asset strategies for a diverse base of institutional clients.
In fixed income, LIM stands out for a disciplined approach aimed at limiting the risk of falls. Its portfolios maintain a virtually neutral duration and prioritize credit quality, with exposure to US Treasury debt, agencies, corporate and municipal bonds, as well as securitized assets. The selection of values is carried out regardless of the indices, while the macroeconomic vision does take them as a reference. All of this is supported by the analysis of fundamentals, valuations and market technical factors, executed by a single cohesive investment team.
Until now, LIM's experience was mainly directed at about 140 American institutional clients through individually managed mandates. With this alliance, its funds and ETFs will become available to financial advisors and their clients, significantly expanding their commercial reach.
According to the information provided by both entities, the incorporation of LIM allows iMGP to cover a space that is not common in the American fixed income market, still dominated by a small group of large managers. In this context, LIM is positioned as one of the few independent multisector firms of small to medium size with the ability to operate across the full range of fixed income strategies, combining operational agility with sufficient scale.
Longfellow's investment philosophy also extends to its equity strategies, equally based on fundamentals and valuations, with the aim of offering solid risk-adjusted returns and a greater potential for income generation. In addition, several of its equity and alternative strategies are designed to help diversify portfolios and reduce concentration and valuation risks present in numerous market capitalization-weighted solutions.
iMGP emphasizes that the fit with its network of Partners is natural, as LIM brings its own style that complements, without duplicating, the existing offer of the platform. Beyond the strategy, the partnership also relies on common values. Both firms place people at the center of their business model: iMGP through its team and its network of associated boutiques, and LIM through an ownership structure in the hands of its employees. The American manager, moreover, is majority-owned by women and has had the national Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) certification since 2010.
In the operation, Colchester Partners acted as financial advisor to Longfellow Investment Management and Sullivan & Worcester LLP as legal advisor. On behalf of iM Global Partner, Seward & Kissel was the legal advisor.
We are delighted to start this journey with LIM. What they have achieved to date demonstrates the solidity and collaborative spirit of the teams they have built. I am very eager to leverage the capabilities and experience of both teams to offer investors around the world innovative and diversified solutions.

As we celebrate our 40 years of serving clients, this partnership opens a new and exciting chapter for LIM. Our mission, our investment philosophy and the people our clients trust remain the same. With iM Global Partner as a strategic partner, we can expand the solutions and product structures available to clients, while preserving the independence, culture and disciplined investment approach that have defined our firm for four decades.
