Portuguese asset management company, IM Gestão de Ativos (IMGA), surpasses €4.5 billion in assets under management, solidifying its position as a key player in the market.
Intermoney Gestão de Ativos (IMGA), part of the CIMD Intermoney Group, has reached a new milestone in its growth, surpassing €4.5 billion in assets under management (AUM). This achievement positions the company as the largest independent asset manager in Portugal and the second-largest overall in the country. IMGA's portfolio includes 32 investment funds distributed through 11 financial institutions, showcasing the firm's capacity to provide a wide range of financial products.
IMGA has built its success on a strategy of adapting its product offerings in line with market conditions. The company remains committed to maintaining its independence while emphasizing innovation, diversification, and operational rigor. Additionally, IMGA offers institutional clients services in creating private equity and venture capital fund structures, contributing to its broad market appeal.
Emanuel Silva, CEO of IMGA, attributes the firm's success to a long-term strategy initiated in 2015, which focuses on providing optimal investment and savings solutions while diversifying distribution channels.
The assets under management we’ve achieved are the result of a long-term strategy implemented in 2015, focused on finding the best investment and savings solutions at any given time, the diversification of the offering and the integration of multiple distribution channels.

IMGA's expansion aligns with the broader diversification strategy of its parent company, CIMD Intermoney Group, which operates in Spain, Portugal, and Dubai. Originally concentrated on institutional brokerage, the Group has since expanded into several business areas, including energy representation, asset structuring, and securitisation services. These additional business lines have contributed significantly to the Group’s revenue and profit structure, underscoring the importance of its asset management operations across its key markets.
