Julius Baer has announced the appointment of Stefan Bollinger as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective no later than February 1, 2025. Bollinger, currently a Partner at Goldman Sachs, will succeed Nic Dreckmann, the acting CEO.
Stefan Bollinger brings extensive experience in financial markets to Julius Baer. Currently serving as Co-Head of Private Wealth Management for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Goldman Sachs, Bollinger has played a crucial role in doubling the assets under management in this region over the past five years. His career spans three decades, with roles in trading, structuring, sales, treasury, and wealth management across global financial hubs including Hong Kong, London, Luxembourg, New York, and Zurich.

He was instrumental in expanding the presence of Goldman Sachs in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Bollinger's extensive resume includes various leadership roles at Goldman Sachs, where he has been a Partner for 14 years, and earlier positions at J.P. Morgan and Zürcher Kantonalbank. His external roles include Chair of the Board of Trustees at the London School of Architecture and trustee positions at AllChild and the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Bollinger holds a CFA Charter, a certification as an EFFAS Financial Analyst, and graduated with distinction from Winterthur Business School.
