New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) and its European subsidiary, Candriam, have increased their stake in Kartesia from 33% to a majority position close to 80%. The operation, which continues the minority investment initiated in 2020, is part of the expansion of NYLIM's private markets platform, which manages around 290,000 million dollars. Kartesia's partners will retain about 20% of the capital, preserving the entrepreneurial spirit and continuity of the management team.
The increase in NYLIM and Candriam's stake in Kartesia strengthens the alliance established in 2020 and consolidates both firms' commitment to the growth of private credit in Europe. Kartesia will maintain its investment autonomy under the direction of its management team, while the strengthening of the link with NYLIM and Candriam will continue to provide greater operational resources, a consolidated institutional infrastructure and global distribution capabilities, elements that have already contributed to the growth of their funds and the expansion of the customer base.
With strong capabilities in private equity, private debt and real estate in both the United States and Europe, NYLIM continues to enhance its global private markets platform to respond to the growing interest and needs of investors in this segment.
Kartesia, with approximately 7.5 billion euros in assets under management, specializes in private credit solutions for European middle market companies. Since the beginning of its alliance with Candriam, the firm has almost tripled its assets, expanded its team from 42 to 120 professionals and extended its presence to nine offices in Europe. During this period, it has launched innovative initiatives such as a private credit strategy with an impact focus and, more recently, its first private debt ELTIF, a long-term vehicle designed to facilitate access to private markets for a broader base of European investors.
The increase in our participation in Kartesia —as well as the solid collaboration that our teams have built over the last five years— reflects our commitment to expand our capabilities in alternative investments to meet the growing demand for private market assets from investors. We look forward to continuing to develop this successful alliance to continue generating solid growth, innovation and collaboration.

This milestone highlights the strength of our alliance and the shared vision we have cultivated over the years.
