Pictet AM has expanded its equity range with the launch of Pictet - Quest European Revival, a UCITS fund domiciled in Luxembourg.
The new strategy is incorporated into the firm's active quantitative platform alongside Pictet - Quest AI-Driven Global Equities, Pictet TR - Quest AI and Pictet - Quest Global Sustainable Equities. Its goal is to capture Europe's economic revival in an environment of doubts about US equities and a decline in dollar profitability, in a context of improving competitiveness and growth in the Old Continent.
Pictet AM considers the long-term economic prospects in Europe to be bright and foresees that the growth rate of the euro zone could more than double in the coming years. Among the internal drivers, the region is adopting more pragmatic energy policies to resolve structural weaknesses, reinforcing investment in infrastructure and advancing capital market reforms, while a strong commitment to technology will boost productivity.
Externally, the American "America First" agenda has accelerated the search for greater European independence in critical areas such as defense, trade, energy and innovation. This change coincides with a significant shift in fiscal policy, especially in Germany. The increase in public investment across the Continent and the expansion of spending in the first European economy could significantly reduce the valuation gap between European equities and those of the United States.
Pictet - Quest European Revival applies a quantitative approach supported by academic analysis and designed to minimize biases. The portfolio construction is data-driven and is managed by a team with over 25 years of experience in quantitative investment, combining the efficiency of models with human supervision and control. The fund offers daily valuation and liquidity, and, being registered in Spain, allows for transfer without fiscal toll.
The stars in Europe have aligned to create a powerful growth environment, underpinned by massive investments in technology, defense, strategic infrastructure, and revitalization of supply chains. These initiatives are strengthening the competitiveness, resilience, and autonomy of the Continent. Our strategy focuses on quality companies with attractive valuations, rising profits, and strong exposure to the region's economic recovery.
