Jeremy Thomas, Chief Investment Officer for Global Equities at Sarasin & Partners, has parted ways with the firm after eight years, marking the end of his tenure in several senior roles.

A spokesperson expressed well wishes for Thomas's future endeavors, acknowledging his significant contributions during his time with the company. "After eight years at Sarasin & Partners in several senior roles, Jerry Thomas has decided to move on to pursue challenges outside the business. He leaves with our best wishes for the future,"

Thomas was actively involved in managing five funds: Sarasin Responsible Global Equity, Thematic Global Equity, Global Dividend, IE Global Equity Opportunities, and JSS Sustainable Equity - Global Thematic.

Joining Sarasin & Partners in 2016 from Allianz Global Investors, where he served as a UK, European, and global equity fund manager, Thomas brought 12 years of experience to the firm. He also co-managed the Brunner Investment Trust from 2010 to 2016.

In light of Thomas's departure, Nikki Martin has been appointed lead portfolio manager of the Global Dividend fund, collaborating with deputy portfolio manager Neil Denman.

Meanwhile, Tom Wildgoose, who recently joined Sarasin & Partners in March as a senior portfolio manager after a tenure of 16 years at Nomura Asset Management, has assumed lead manager responsibilities for the remaining four global equity strategies. He will work alongside existing manager Megan Brennan.

Sarasin & Partners has been actively bolstering its investment talent, welcoming new additions such as Alastair Baker, Cédric Phounpadith, Jack Brodie, Edward Lloyd, James Verdier, Valencia Agera, and Michael Jervis to its ranks.

Additionally, the firm has undergone an investment team restructuring, promoting Subitha Subramaniam as the new head of investment strategy, with Sam Jeffries assuming her former role as the head of the asset management team.

This transition follows the departure of analysts Emily Lydon, Angel Ganchev, and Rolando Rodrigues at the end of 2023, as Sarasin & Partners continues to adapt and evolve its investment approach.
