Vanguard has announced the launch of two new exchange-traded funds, the Vanguard FTSE Eurozone UCITS ETF and the Vanguard FTSE Developed Europe Small-Cap UCITS ETF, expanding its offering for investors interested in increasing their exposure to European equities.
According to information provided by the manager, both ETFs have been designed as additional tools for those investors looking to increase their positioning in European equity markets. With this move, Vanguard strengthens its range of Europe-focused index products and expands the alternatives available for both diversification strategies and more specific allocations within the region.
The new exchange-traded funds will be available on several of the main European exchanges. Specifically, they will be listed on the Deutsche Börse, Euronext Amsterdam, Borsa Italiana and SIX Swiss Exchange, facilitating access to a broad base of investors on the continent.
The management of both UCITS ETFs will fall to Vanguard's Global Equity team. The firm highlights that this team manages more than $8.39 trillion in assets worldwide and serves over 50 million clients globally.
According to the entity, the team's ability is supported by a combination of diverse perspectives and knowledge aimed at achieving accurate tracking of benchmark indices, prudent risk management, and highly competitive investment returns. With this launch, Vanguard continues to strengthen its positioning in the UCITS ETF segment targeted at the European market.
European equities continue to offer a wide range of opportunities for long-term investors, and prospects are increasingly conditioned by factors such as interest rate developments, the strength of corporate profits, and persistent uncertainty in the markets. In an environment like this, broad diversification is fundamental, and these new ETFs are designed to offer investors simple access to eurozone equities and small-cap companies in developed European markets, all denominated in euros.
