Last week, on the 16th and 17th of June took place the first edition of the Rankia Funds Experience Europe. This first face to face event, was celebrated in Valencia, at the Hotel Las Arenas, a beautiful venue by the mediterranean sea. During the event we had the opportunity to bring together around 80 professionals within the asset management industry, and 6 fund managers who presented their strategies to European Fund selectors and fund buyers.

The prior day, on the 15th we welcomed the European professionals to the Hotel las Arenas, with the celebration of a little cocktail reception. On the 16th the event started with some words offered by Alejandro Ortolá, from the commercial team at RankiaPro. Ortolá welcomed the attendees, and thanked everyone for making it to the event, the first face to face event celebrated by RankiaPro Europe after two years of online events.

The session started with some "one to few" roundtables, where fund selectors and fund buyers had the opportunity to listen to the strategies to the six fund managers taking part at the event. Etica sgr, Nomura, abrdn, Compass / Ninety One, GSA Coral and Global X.

Around mid-morning, the attendees had the chance to enjoy a little break, admiring the fabulous beach views from the terrace of the venue.

After this first break, the professionals had more one to few sessions. During these sessions, the fund managers and the sales managers changed from table to table, in sessions of 35 minutes, where they presented their strategies, and the fund selectors and buyers were able to ask questions about the presentation in real time.

After the morning sessions, the attendees enjoyed a Paella Cooking workshop, where the attendees divided in groups, competed for being the best paella.

In the afternoon, the first "one to one" sessions started, and the fund selectors and fund buyers, where able to meet with the fund managers one to one, in 10 minutes sessions.

The day ended up at Veles e Vents, a venue sited by the Valencia Port, with a dinner where attendees were able to chat and discuss the matters of the day.

On day two, the attendees enjoyed more "one to few" sessions, as well as "one to one" sessions, and enjoyed a lovely finger buffet lunch where they had the chance to have a last chat with fund managers and other professionals attending the event.
