I chose a classic, The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel, for me, one of those readings that go beyond strategies and numbers. In a world where we are constantly analyzing data and looking for perfect formulas, this book reminds us that our financial decisions, after all, are deeply influenced by our psychology and our emotions. It's not just about what we know, but how we think and feel about money.
What surprised me most about this book is the way Housel addresses how, despite having the same information, two people can come to completely different conclusions, simply because their backgrounds and experiences are different. It's something that, as investors, we tend to overlook, but in practice it plays a crucial role.
It's not a technical book, but I consider it essential for anyone involved in investments, because it invites us to be more aware of ourselves when we make decisions.
I recently finished the novel The Shadow of the Wind, by Carlos Ruiz Zafón, and I can't help but recommend it as a reading for this Christmas since I liked it a lot. The plot is simple, but it will captivate you and you won't be able to close the book until you've finished it: Daniel Sempere, the protagonist, finds a book in the Cemetery of Forgotten Books, and from there he will have to embark on a whole journey to protect it.
This premise is ideal for getting to know the atmosphere of post-war Barcelona, shrouded in mysteries and secrets. Daniel will have to unravel secrets and confront disturbing characters in a story full of suspense and emotion. Without a doubt, it is the perfect book to take with you during these holidays.

For those who believe in the value of patience and discipline, Investing in the Long Term by Francisco García Paramés is almost a must-read. The book reflects the direct experience of one of the most well-known European value investors and conveys a clear message: in the world of investments, time is an ally, not an enemy.
Paramés defends a rational approach, far from the fashions of the moment, based on fundamental analysis, on the margin of safety, and on the ability to resist the emotional swings of the market. He does not promise shortcuts or immediate results, but offers a solid and consistent vision for those who wish to build wealth with method and conviction. It is a book that invites calm, reflection, and consistency, qualities increasingly rare in finance.
To escape from everyday life and immerse yourself in another era, my choice is Rome is me by Santiago Posteguillo. It is a gripping historical novel, which tells the rise of Julius Caesar with a narrative rhythm capable of capturing from the first pages.
Posteguillo manages to bring ancient Rome to life, transforming history into an adventure made of political intrigues, battles, ambition, and destiny. It's an engaging read, ideal for holidays, as it allows you to switch off your mind and be carried away by a great story without giving up the depth of the characters.
If you're looking for a novel that combines entertainment and narrative quality, Rome is me is a perfect choice to accompany your relaxation moments.

If you haven’t read Millennial Money by Patrick O'Shaughnessy yet, you're missing an insightful exploration of how generational psychology shapes investment behaviors.
O'Shaughnessy delves deep into the unique financial mindset of Millennials, who, shaped by the challenges of their macroeconomic environment, often exhibit a conservative and cautious approach to money. The author contrasts this with other generational attitudes, offering a fascinating analysis of how personal and historical experiences influence financial decision-making.
One of the most striking aspects of the book is how it identifies the long-term implications of Millennials’ conservative tendencies. In a world where balancing risk and reward is essential, this caution might hold them back from achieving their financial goals. The author offers practical guidance to help Millennials shift their perspective and make smarter investment decisions.
Whether you're a Millennial seeking to better understand your own financial habits or a professional investor aiming to tap into generational trends, Millennial Money is a must-read. Its engaging style and practical insights make it the perfect companion for anyone interested in the psychology of investing.
As the year comes to a close, I find myself drawn to books that inspire, motivate, and encourage reflection. One such book is Shoe Dog by Phil Knight, the memoir of Nike's founder. While it may not be a traditional novel, it’s an incredibly engaging and inspirational story of resilience, risk-taking, and the power of chasing a dream.
Knight takes you on a journey through his struggles, failures, and triumphs in building one of the most iconic brands in the world. His honesty about the challenges he faced—whether personal, professional, or financial—makes the book deeply relatable and uplifting. It’s a testament to perseverance and the importance of staying true to your vision, even when the odds seem stacked against you.
For anyone looking to reflect on the past year and set new goals for the year ahead, Shoe Dog is the perfect companion. Its motivational tone and captivating storytelling will leave you energized and ready to take on new challenges. I highly recommend it for your holiday reading!

I recommend a book that isn’t exactly about the stock market, but definitely explores the financial forces that shape the world: football! It’s Soccernomics by Simon Kuper and Stefan Szymanski. The authors analyze this sport through economics and statistics (the data is impressive!), looking at why European men and American women succeed internationally, while American men often struggle. With the World Cup coming up next year, it’s perfect timing to dive in!
I love the book The Art of Creating Memories by Meik Wiking. It explores how our brains form, store, and recall mental images, as well as the ‘art of letting go’ – why we tend to forget some moments to make room for deeper, more meaningful ones. It also shows how to intentionally create special moments you’ll remember for a lifetime. It’s such a beautiful book.
