Rankia Funds Experience Europe, unveiling the IV edition

From June 11th to June 13th, we celebrated the IV Edition of Rankia Funds Experience Europe, gathering over 150 professionals and 16 asset managers.

From June 11th to 13th, the iconic Hotel Balneario Las Arenas in Valencia hosted the IV edition of the Rankia Funds Experience Europe, our flagship event for professional investors across the continent. The event brought together more than 150 investment professionals and 16 leading asset management firms for two and a half days of strategic discussions, insightful presentations, and meaningful networking.

Over the course of the event, attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with portfolio managers and fund representatives, gaining privileged access to current investment strategies, product innovation, and expert views on the European asset management landscape. The one-to-few and one-to-one meetings offered an exclusive setting for deep dives into asset allocation processes, fund selection criteria, and performance insights.

A Strong Start: Welcome Cocktail and Opening Remarks

The event kicked off on Wednesday evening with a welcome cocktail, allowing participants from across Europe to connect and exchange views in a relaxed and informal setting.

On Thursday morning, José Antonio Sánchez, Sales Manager at RankiaPro Europe, officially opened the IV edition of the event, welcoming all attendees and setting the stage for the discussions ahead.

Strategic Exchanges: Workshops and Investment Showcases

The heart of the event took place through a series of targeted workshops and interactive sessions held on Thursday and Friday. In these meetings, fund selectors had the chance to explore 16 distinct investment ideas presented by leading asset managers including Aberdeen, Alken, Apera, Asset Management One, Bitwise, Colville Capital Partners, De Pury Pictet Turrettini, GMO, HSBC, Impax, IVO Capital Partners, J. Stern & Co, LFDE – LBP AM, Lazard, Nomura, and Ofi Invest.

These sessions offered a unique opportunity for attendees to go beyond standard presentations and engage in candid, detailed discussions with portfolio managers about their investment philosophies, risk frameworks, and selection processes.

Networking with a Local Flavor

Following Thursday's productive sessions, attendees took part in the Paella Cooking Challenge – a signature networking activity where investors and asset managers joined forces in a light-hearted competition to prepare Spain’s most iconic dish. Guided by expert chefs and divided into teams, participants competed for the title of Paella Champion, strengthening relationships in a fun and collaborative setting.

Later that evening, guests gathered at Veles e Vents for a gastronomic dinner, followed by the RankiaPro Europe Awards 2025 ceremony. Hosted by Gordon Puckey, the awards celebrated excellence and innovation across the asset management industry. Find out who the winners are!

A European Perspective: Fund Selectors Roundtable

Friday morning introduced a new highlight: the inaugural European Fund Selectors Roundtable. Moderated by Gabriele Montalbetti of Consultinvest, the session featured high-level insights from:

The event concluded with one-to-one meetings and a closing networking lunch in the hotel gardens, rounding off an edition marked by content-rich engagement and high-quality interactions.
