On Thursday, November 27th, the XIV edition of the Rankia Funds Experience Portugal took place, reaffirming its status as our flagship event in the region. We brought together more than 50 professional investors from across Portugal for a day centered on strategic dialogue, market foresight, and high-level networking.
Designed specifically for fund selectors, advisors, private bankersand family offices, this edition provided a dynamic environment to bridge the gap between asset managers and local investment professionals, fostering opportunities to uncover resilient strategies in a changing market landscape.
Throughout the day, attendees engaged directly with representatives from eight prestigious global asset management firms. We were honored to be joined by Aegon Asset Management, BNY, Edmond de Rothschild, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Polar Capital, Polen Capital - iM Global Partner, MFS Investment Management, and Principal Asset Management.
Outstanding professionals from our partner firms shared their unique insights and detailed their current investing propositions, offering attendees a comprehensive look at where opportunities lie in the current economic climate.
A format designed for depth and interaction
The event followed our signature structure, optimized to maximize interaction and value for all participants:
‘One to Few’ Sessions: The core of the experience involved small, focused roundtable discussions. Over a series of 25-minute sessions, fund managers presented their investment philosophies, portfolio compositions, and performance trends. This format allowed professional investors to ask targeted questions and gain a granular understanding of each strategy.
Networking Opportunities: A mid-morning coffee break and a networking lunch provided a relaxed atmosphere for peers to exchange views on the morning’s presentations and discuss the broader Portuguese market.
‘One to One’ Meetings: The afternoon was dedicated to private meetings, allowing investors to sit down exclusively with the fund houses of their choice to deepen relationships and explore specific collaboration opportunities.
