On Thursday, May 28th, the XV edition of the Rankia Funds Experience Portugal took place at the Epic Sana Marquês Hotel in Lisbon, marking a landmark moment in the history of our flagship event in the region. Reaching the fifteenth edition is a significant milestone, and this gathering proved to be a worthy celebration of everything this forum stands for.

We welcomed more than 60 professional investors from across Portugal for a day defined by strategic dialogue, market foresight, and high-quality networking — making this milestone edition a true celebration of excellence.

Designed specifically for fund selectors, advisors, private bankers, and family offices, the XV edition provided a dynamic and intimate environment to bridge the gap between global asset managers and local investment professionals, fostering opportunities to uncover resilient strategies in an ever-evolving market landscape.

Throughout the day, attendees engaged directly with representatives from eight prestigious global asset management firms. We were honored to be joined by BNY Mellon Investment Management, DNB Asset Management, Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, La Française, Lazard Asset Management, MFS Investment Management, Natixis Investment Managers, and Ofi Invest Asset Management.

How the Day Unfolded

The event followed our signature structure, balancing knowledge-sharing with meaningful connection:

'One to Few' Sessions: The core of the experience involved small, focused roundtable discussions. Over a series of 25-minute sessions, fund managers presented their investment philosophies, portfolio compositions, and performance trends. This format allowed professional investors to ask targeted questions and gain a granular understanding of each strategy.
Networking Breaks & Lunch: A mid-morning coffee break and a sit-down networking lunch offered a more relaxed setting to exchange perspectives and build connections with peers.
RankiaPro Awards: A highlight of the afternoon was the RankiaPro Awards ceremony, recognising outstanding professionals in the Portuguese asset management industry.
'One to One' Meetings: The day closed with private sessions, giving investors dedicated time with the fund houses of their choice to explore specific strategies and deepen relationships.
