AllianceBernstein has announced today the launch of two new funds, the AB European Corporate Bond Portfolio and the AB USD Corporate Bond Portfolio. The AB European Corporate Bond Portfolio is managed by Scott DiMaggio and Bernd Wuebben, along with Jamie Harding and the AB USD Corporate Bond Portfolio is managed by Tim Kurpis.
The funds use a systematic approach based on quantitative analysis to build diversified portfolios. The AB European Corporate Bond Portfolio invests in investment grade corporate bonds denominated in euros, while the AB USD Corporate Bond Portfolio invests in investment grade corporate bonds denominated in dollars. Both portfolios use a dynamic and multifactorial approach to identify securities with potential to achieve attractive risk-adjusted returns.
This approach, applied by the investment management team through their own analysis models, investment processes and execution of operations, takes into account several factors in order to achieve returns through a bottom-up security selection process, which focuses on the analysis of individual issuers rather than market conditions.
The two portfolios add to AB's range of fixed income funds and will offer investors in their respective investment categories opportunities to achieve attractive, sustainable returns over time and uncorrelated with their respective benchmark indices*.
The funds are domiciled in Luxembourg and registered in the following countries: Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Belgium, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
We believe that we can offer superior returns using our factor-based quantitative analysis, which has been part of our DNA since 2004. Leveraging this excellent analysis, along with our trade execution technology and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (ABBIE), developed over the past two decades, allows us to offer innovative products and differentiated sources of return for the market and for our clients.
Scott DiMaggio, Fund Manager and Head of Fixed Income at AllianceBernstein
We have been managing systematic portfolios in the United States for some time, and we are pleased to expand this capability in the EMEA markets with the launch of our UCTIS funds domiciled in Luxembourg. They add a new dimension to our fixed income platform that our EMEA clients can access. We have observed the growth of demand from our clients for an active systematic approach in fixed income within these markets. We have listened to these requests and have decided to launch these strategies to meet the needs of our clients.
