Amundi, one of Europe’s largest asset managers, has announced the appointment of Eric Bramoullé as the new Chief Executive Officer for its UK division. With over 25 years of experience, Bramoullé’s leadership marks a new chapter for Amundi in the United Kingdom.
Eric Bramoullé has held several key roles within the Amundi group, showcasing his deep expertise and leadership. Most recently, he served as Head of Marketing and Products, a position he held for more than three years. Prior to that, he led operations in South Asia as CEO from 2018 to 2021, following his tenure as CEO of Amundi Austria (2015-2018) and Amundi Poland (2013-2015).
Bramoullé's career began in 1999 at Société Générale Asset Management as an equity portfolio manager. He subsequently advanced to roles including Deputy Head of Equity Fund Management and Head of Retail Networks Equity Management. His global experience also includes serving as Vice President in the Investment Risk and Process Control department at SBI Funds Management in India.
Bramoullé’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Amundi, as it looks to strengthen its presence in the competitive UK market. His extensive background in asset management and his strategic vision are expected to drive growth and innovation.
Amundi’s decision to promote Bramoullé underscores its confidence in his ability to lead the UK division effectively. His academic credentials further enhance his profile; he holds a Master of Bank & Finance from La Sorbonne University and is a certified financial analyst from the EFFAS (European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies).
This leadership change follows reports of recent discussions between Amundi and Allianz over a potential acquisition of Allianz Global Investors, which have since ceased. Bramoullé’s appointment signals a renewed focus on internal growth and operational excellence.
