BNP Paribas AM announced today that its Global Megatrends strategy has exceeded 1 billion euros in assets under management, a milestone driven primarily by investor interest and, to a lesser extent, by market effect.
In addition, the fund has obtained a four-star Morningstar rating for the three-year period, as of October 31, 2025.
BNP Paribas Global Megatrends is a multi-thematic fund managed by Nadia Grant, director of global equity at BNP Paribas Asset Management. The strategy is based on four megatrends —demographics, innovation, environment, and geopolitics— which, according to the manager, are transforming economies, sectors, and industries and open new areas of growth in the global investment universe.
From these megatrends, the firm has identified seven categories of investment themes:
The Global Megatrends strategy aims to identify investment themes and analyze the opportunities that arise from these structural trends. According to BNP Paribas Asset Management, portfolio construction is based on a behavioral and differentiated approach to stock selection, without adhering to a specific style, region, sector, or market capitalization.
There is an increasing recognition of the importance of the megatrends investment universe, as well as the long-term opportunities they offer. The world is changing at a very fast pace and with the increase in uncertainty also come disruption, innovation, risks, and opportunities. The milestone we have just achieved is a very important signal. Both the team and I are looking forward to seeing what the future will bring to the strategy.
Nadia Grant, director of global equity at BNP Paribas AM
The research framework on megatrends combines concepts from the fields of economics, political science, sociology, and natural sciences, which allow us to understand the slow, yet fundamental and widespread, transformation of the world around us. By highlighting the underlying trends driving this transformation, we provide some structure to what might otherwise seem idiosyncratic and, therefore, largely unpredictable events.
Richard Barwell, director of macroeconomic analysis and investment strategy at BNP Paribas AM
The strategy is being very well received among our clients in a context of volatility like the current one. We are confident that megatrends will continue to take advantage of the opportunities offered by innovation and disruption, and we are extremely pleased to be able to generate value from these investment themes.
Guy Davies, director of equity investment at BNP Paribas AM
