Edmond de Rothschild AM boosts its strategy in private markets with a new distribution team

Edmond de Rothschild AM announced today the creation of a team dedicated to the distribution of private markets to consolidate its presence in this segment and strengthen the relationship with institutional investors on a global scale.
The new team, consisting of five members and with presence in London, Paris and Frankfurt, will be led by Robbert Zoet, who will report to Marie Jacot, global director of Distribution.
Strategy and capabilities in private markets
Under the leadership of Zoet —joined in January 2024 as head of Real Assets Distribution and based in London— the manager seeks to expand its base of institutional clients and strengthen its distribution alliances. The team will work in coordination with the global distribution organization and with the product teams on capital market initiatives and investor relations.
The firm highlights its platform in private markets, which includes:
- Real Estate: Edmond de Rothschild REIM manages 13.6 billion euros, with activity in the main European markets and high conviction investments in residential, logistics and health.
- Infrastructure Debt: the BRIDGE platform (Benjamin de Rothschild Infrastructure Debt Generation) totals 6.5 billion euros and focuses on energy transition, digital infrastructure and transport.
- Private Equity: the Private Capital platform, backed by 215 professionals, manages 4.6 billion euros distributed in 11 investment strategies.
Appointments and regional coverage
As part of the initiative, the manager has appointed Bertie Milward as head of Private Markets Distribution for the Nordic countries and Jan Novak as head of Private Markets Distribution for Germany; both will report to Robbert Zoet.
Milward will lead the distribution in the Nordic region and support the UK team. He holds a degree in Mathematics from Imperial College London, began his career at Barclays in 2011 and spent a decade at Goldman Sachs in capital raising roles in London and New York. Recently, he covered LPs in the UK and Nordic countries for a European placement agent.
Novak, based in Frankfurt, will oversee distribution in Germany. An economist from Goethe University and an MBA from Saint Leo University (Florida), he is a CFA and has experience in private banking (Donner & Reuschel) and at LaSalle Investment Management, where he focused for seven years on acquisition and distribution in the DACH region and the Nordic countries.
The team is completed with Fabrice Lefevre-Sory, responsible for Real Assets Distribution in France and the Middle East since March 2024, and Léa Mangani, responsible for Private Equity Distribution since November 2023. Mangani also leads the development and implementation of the product strategy in private markets, aligning design, positioning and channel priorities to drive customer adoption and growth in fund raising.
