Investment platform eToro has announced the launch of six new target date portfolios in collaboration with global asset management firm Franklin Templeton. These portfolios are designed to help investors reach specific financial goals by automatically adjusting asset allocations based on the investment timeline.
With target years set for 2028, 2030, 2033 and 2035, each portfolio gradually reduces exposure to equities and increases allocation to fixed income as the target date approaches. This enables a smooth transition from a growth-oriented strategy to one focused on capital preservation, without requiring active management from the investor.
The portfolios benefit from Franklin Templeton’s tactical asset allocation expertise and are composed of diversified ETFs across sectors and geographies.
In addition to the four target date portfolios, eToro is introducing two additional options: FixedIncome-FT, a conservative portfolio with 90% in fixed income and 10% in equities aimed at capital preservation, and Equity-FT, a growth-focused portfolio with 100% equity exposure that does not reduce risk over time.
We are delighted to introduce this new set of target date portfolios guided by Franklin Templeton’s asset allocation expertise. Whether the investment is for a house deposit or long-term savings, target date portfolios offer a simple, hands-off way to help our clients stay on track with their financial goals. This is another step in our ongoing commitment to providing investors with long-term investment solutions, wherever they are on their investment journey.
