Goldman Sachs Alternatives has unveiled its latest investment offering, the G-PE fund, a permanent private equity strategy designed to provide investors with access to the firm's renowned private equity franchises. The new fund is part of Goldman Sachs' broader G-Series range of open-ended private market funds, which aims to expand investment opportunities in the private sector for professional investors worldwide.
The G-PE fund provides exposure to a diverse array of private equity strategies, including buyouts, growth investments, secondaries, and co-investments. By tapping into Goldman Sachs’ extensive track record and expertise in private equity, G-PE allows investors to gain access to high-quality transactions across a range of flagship investment strategies. This latest launch continues the firm’s efforts to enhance its $500 billion Alternatives platform and cater to the growing demand for private market investments.
The G-PE fund’s launch underscores Goldman Sachs’ commitment to broadening access to private markets for qualified investors, including both individuals and institutional clients. Available through Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management and select third-party distributors, the fund offers investors an efficient entry point into private equity, infrastructure, real estate credit, and private credit strategies. As private and institutional investorsincreasingly seek assets that are uncorrelated with public markets, Goldman Sachs positions the G-PE fund as a timely solution for diversified investment portfolios.
As more companies choose to remain private for longer and a greater share of economic growth takes place in private markets, investors will need to look beyond public markets. We believe that private market investments can help our clients with the appropriate risk profile build a more diversified portfolio, and we are pleased to leverage product innovations to expand their access and opportunities.
