Wealth and investment manager Bordier & Cie (UK) PLC (“Bordier UK”) has announced the appointment of Jason Day as its new Head of Fund Research.
Day joins the firm from Aberdeen, where he most recently served as Senior Investment Manager. In that role, he specialised in fund research, manager selection, investment strategy and model portfolio construction. Having joined Aberdeen in 2011, he played a key role in developing the risk-targeted model portfolios that underpin Aberdeen’s MPS range. His appointment, effective 1 April, follows one of the most successful years in Bordier UK’s 45-year history.
A well-known figure in the investment industry, Day previously spent a decade as Head of Multi-Manager at Allenbridge Group between 2001 and 2011. Earlier in his nearly 30-year career in financial services, he also worked as a Private Client Investment Manager and Fund Analyst at Deloitte.
In his new role, Day will collaborate with Chief Investment Officer Mark Robinson and other members of the Investment Committee on areas including investment strategy, asset allocation and portfolio construction.
Jason is a highly experienced investment professional with strong analytical and portfolio construction expertise. I am confident he will bring fresh perspectives on how we optimise asset allocation for our clients, think more tactically about their evolving needs, and structure our investment propositions in an increasingly dynamic market environment.
Mark Robinson, CIO
Bordier UK continues to attract interest from intermediary firms seeking to outsource investment management. With a renewed focus on relationships within the private client community, the firm recorded record assets under management in 2025, which currently stand at approximately £2.3bn. One of the few independent, privately owned investment managers of scale serving the UK market, the firm continues to evolve under CEO Ian Heap, who became only the company’s third chief executive in January last year.
Our ability to attract leading industry talent reflects Bordier UK’s growing reputation. Jason is well respected within the funds community, and his connections across major investment firms and the wider introducer network mean he will quickly make an impact. As the firm continues to build strong momentum, his experience and insight will be invaluable. We are excited to welcome Jason and look forward to the contribution he will make in his new role.
Ian Heap, CEO
