Keith Metters, new president of Fidelity

Fidelity announced today the appointment of Keith Metters as president of Fidelity International, effective from tomorrow, Friday, March 1. Keith will report to the Chairman, Abigail Johnson.

After joining Fidelity in 2020 to lead the Workplace Investing business, Keith is currently Global Director of Platform Solutions.

He brings more than 25 years of experience in the sector. Before joining the firm, he spent over 20 years at Fidelity Investments in the U.S. performing various roles, culminating in the leadership of its Workplace Investing Core Market division. There he led the creation of investment strategies and solutions for large-scale clients with the aim of retaining and increasing both the number of clients and assets.

Keith replaces Anne Richards, who will take a six-month break before returning to her new role as Vice Chair.

Keith assumes this role at a crucial time for our business. We focus on delivering the core investment capabilities for which we are known, while continuing to develop those capabilities that we know our clients need both now and in the future. Keith's deep understanding of Fidelity's business, his absolute focus on the customer and his rigor around operational effectiveness make him perfectly suited to lead Fidelity International's business into the next phase of its history.
