Lazard AM announced today the addition of Chris Bricker as Director of Corporate Development and Theodore P. “TP” Enders as Product Director, in a decision aimed at accelerating its growth strategy and strengthening its ability to offer investment solutions tailored to new customer demands. The firm frames both appointments in its roadmap towards the next phase of expansion, while maintaining its historic commitment to active management.
As explained by Chris Hogbin, CEO of Lazard Asset Management, the arrival of both executives responds to a “decisive” moment in the evolution of the manager. In his opinion, these are two complementary profiles that bring experience both in identifying and integrating strategic opportunities and in building product platforms aligned with customer needs and business priorities.
Chris Bricker will assume responsibility for corporate development and LAM's strategic growth agenda. His mission will be to identify opportunities that leverage the firm's strengths as an asset manager, expand the value proposition for clients, and strengthen its presence in areas considered priorities. He will report directly to Hogbin.
For his part, TP Enders will be at the forefront of LAM's global product strategy. He will be responsible for defining the evolution of the product platform across investment strategies, vehicles, customer channels, and markets. He will work in coordination with the investment and distribution teams, as well as with regional managers, to prioritize those capabilities and solutions with the greatest potential for differentiation and growth. He will report to Rosalie Berman, operations director of Lazard Asset Management.
Bricker comes from AllianceBernstein, where he developed more than three decades of career. Until now he held the position of director of corporate development and was part of the Operating Committee. During this stage he led operations and strategic alliances, in addition to contributing to one of the entity's largest product expansions. He also led the listed alternative assets business and directed both the product strategy and the mergers and acquisitions area.
TP Enders comes from Goldman Sachs AM, where he worked for more than two decades as a managing director. He recently served as CIO and previously was global head of product development, leading an international team. Among his milestones are the integration of a significant acquisition in Europe, the first conversion of an investment fund into an ETF within the entity, and the launch of a range of income-based ETFs based on options.
Both executives have highlighted the appeal of the Lazard Asset Management project. Bricker emphasized the opportunity to contribute to defining the future growth of a firm with ambition and a platform to expand its customer service, while Enders noted that he has always considered Lazard one of the most respected houses in active management and positively valued the firm's vision for the coming years.
The manager expects Bricker and Enders to work together to turn LAM's strategic priorities into a concrete agenda, customer-oriented and focused on generating profitable growth. Their incorporation is part of the Lazard 2030 plan, with which the firm seeks to determine in which segments it can add more value and how to effectively bring new capabilities to the market.
