Swiss wealth manager Lombard Odier has named Thomas Morley as its new UK chief operating officer (COO). Morley, who started on 18 August, will be based in London and report directly to UK chief executive Mark Goddard.
In his new position, Morley will oversee Lombard Odier’s internal operations and work closely with the executive team to ensure alignment with the firm’s long-term UK growth strategy. The appointment comes during a period of expansion for the group, which manages CHF 327 billion ($405 billion) in client assets across 28 offices in 19 jurisdictions.
Morley has over 18 years of operational leadership experience in the wealth management sector. He began his career at UBS Wealth Management, where he held several senior positions, including deputy head of Jersey operations and executive director, head of investment bank EMEA and wealth management client onboarding in London. He later became a director in Ernst & Young’s wealth and asset management division, before moving to Sarasin & Partners as deputy COO, where he oversaw multiple teams and firm-wide change initiatives.
