M&G Investments has appointed Paul Haegy as the new head of Infrastructure Debt and Private Placements within the private markets division, a platform that manages 81 billion pounds. The manager's entry is part of the group's strategy to strengthen its presence in private markets and expand its investment capabilities in infrastructure debt.
Haegy brings over 15 years of experience gained at Goldman Sachs, where he held the role of head of infrastructure and energy financing for the EMEA area. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing origination and structuring opportunities in the infrastructure debt segment, leveraging the long-term capital of M&G's Life business.
The manager will report to James King, head of the 24 billion pound private & structured credit platform, a structure that boasts a consolidated experience in European private credit.
