Mirabaud AM announced today the appointment of Gurdeep Bumbra as senior portfolio manager within the global equity division. Based in London, he will assume the role of lead manager of the Global Focus equity strategy.
Gurdeep has over 20 years of experience in international equity, mainly acquired at Pictet AM, where he was a senior investment manager specializing in international and emerging market equities. In addition to his portfolio management duties, he also oversaw international equity research for a time.
His deep knowledge of regions and sectors, combined with a long-term fundamental philosophy, aligns perfectly with Mirabaud's key investment values.
Gurdeep joins a consolidated team that includes Paul Middleton, lead manager of the Global Dividend Fund, and Mohamed Hussein, global equity analyst.
Gurdeep's appointment comes after the promotion of Umberto Boccato to CEO and Andrew Lake to CIO, in a context where the company continues to invest in talent to provide quality investment solutions to its clients.
Gurdeep is an experienced investor with a clear philosophy and proven results. His incorporation reflects our commitment to strengthening our strategic capabilities, where we can bring significant value to clients, especially through concentrated and future-oriented strategies.
Andrew Lake, CIO of Mirabaud AM
Joining the team at Mirabaud Asset Management represents an excellent opportunity to contribute to a firm with a clear focus on high conviction, long-term, and bottom-up analysis investments. In an environment where market leadership is limited and dispersion is high, this is an opportune time to focus on resilient, undervalued companies with broad growth opportunities.
