Newton Investment Management, a division of BNY Mellon Investment Management, has named Tjeerd Voskamp as its new Global Head of Distribution, marking a significant move to bolster its institutional distribution strategies. Voskamp's appointment underscores Newton's commitment to expanding its global footprint and leveraging distribution channels effectively.
Tjeerd Voskamp will spearhead institutional distribution strategies for Newton Investment Management. With over two decades of experience leading global distribution teams, Voskamp brings a wealth of expertise to his position. His responsibilities will include collaborating closely with BNY Mellon Investment Management to capitalize on their distribution channels, aiming to enhance Newton's market presence and reach.
Tjeerd Voskamp joins Newton from J O Hambro Capital Management, where he served as the Head of Distribution for the UK, Europe, and Asia regions. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in identifying and seizing international growth opportunities, particularly in Europe. Prior to this role, Voskamp held senior positions leading global sales teams at renowned financial institutions such as Aviva Investors, Schroders, and Columbia Threadneedle, covering both institutional and wholesale client channels.
Voskamp's appointment comes at a crucial juncture for Newton Investment Management, as the firm continues to expand its global asset management capabilities. With assets under management totaling $105.98 billion, Newton aims to strengthen its position as a leading global asset manager. Voskamp's leadership will be instrumental in driving Newton's growth initiatives and enhancing its client-centric approach.
