Pascal Botteron has taken up a new role as Chief Executive Officer of ARYA Banque Privée, the Geneva-based Swiss private bank formerly known as S.P. Hinduja Banque Privée, which relaunched under its new name and executive leadership in August 2026.
Botteron joins ARYA from Cité Gestion, the Geneva private bank where he served as Head of Investments from February 2023 to August 2026, overseeing a team of senior investment advisors and leading the Green Blue Investment Program – the sustainable investment strategy he had founded years earlier.
His career spans more than two decades in Swiss and international private banking. Before Cité Gestion, Botteron was co-founder and CEO of Green Blue Invest (GBI) SA (2018-2023), an ESG investment boutique he built around the principle that strong corporate governance drives better environmental and social outcomes – a firm later acquired by Cité Gestion. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Deutsche Bank, including Global Head of Alternative Investments and Global Head of Product Advisory within the bank's Wealth Management division, as well as positions at Bank J. Safra Sarasin and Pictet & Cie. He has also lectured on finance at the University of Zurich, the University of Lausanne, HEC Paris and Thunderbird School of Global Management.
At ARYA, Botteron leads a newly formed executive committee alongside Boris Chave as Chief Operating Officer (formerly of Bank Syz, J.P. Morgan Suisse, HSBC Private Bank and Union Bancaire Privée) and Sébastien Micotti as General Counsel, who also joins from Cité Gestion.
The rebranding to ARYA – derived from a Sanskrit word associated with honour, integrity and noble conduct – comes with a new minority shareholder, entrepreneur and philanthropist Nirmal Sethia, and a strategic shift toward what the bank describes as a more entrepreneurial, product-led approach to Swiss private banking, with a focus on investment products, co-investment opportunities and entrepreneurial family clients. The bank has stated that the transition will bring no immediate operational changes for existing clients, with relationship teams, staff and locations remaining in place as the ARYA brand is introduced in phases.
