WisdomTree has announced the addition of SpaceX to the WisdomTree Space Economy UCITS ETF as of June 29, 2026, once the company's anticipated IPO is completed.
The entry of the aerospace firm strengthens the fund's exposure to the commercialization of space, one of the fastest-growing segments within this investment theme.
As the manager has explained, SpaceX will be integrated into the WisdomTree Space Economy UCITS ETF (WSPC) with an initial weighting of 5.5%. However, the index methodology contemplates that the company can reach a target weighting above 10%, with expectation of further increases in the coming months as market liquidity increases after the initial public offering.
The inclusion of SpaceX responds to the central role the company plays in the evolution of the modern space economy. WisdomTree highlights that the company has helped to transform the launch economy, expand access to space, and accelerate the development of commercial space infrastructures and services. Its stock market debut, moreover, represents a milestone for the sector by bringing one of the most followed private companies in this industry to public markets.
The WisdomTree Space Economy UCITS ETF offers diversified exposure to companies linked to the development of the global space economy through four major areas: launches and infrastructures, commercial space services and applications, space defense and emerging technologies.
The inclusion of SpaceX represents a significant advancement for the WisdomTree Space Economy UCITS ETF and reflects the importance of the company within the global space economy. SpaceX has played a key role in reducing barriers to space access, increasing launch frequency, and accelerating commercial participation across the sector. Its inclusion shortly after its stock market debut reflects the flexibility of WisdomTree's proprietary indexing approach, which allows the strategy to respond to significant changes in the investment universe while remaining transparent, rule-based, and aligned with the fund's objective. Following its IPO, investors can now invest in one of the most influential commercial space companies shaping the future of space, as part of a diversified strategy designed to leverage the long-term growth of the space economy.
