Anthropic launched today, September 14, 2026, Claude for Financial Advisors, a suite of connectors and skills designed to free financial advisors from administrative work.
According to a Kitces research cited by Anthropic, only a sixth of a consulting firm's time is dedicated to meetings with clients, while the EBRI estimates that over four out of ten American workers do not know who to turn to for financial or pension advice.
The tool integrates from launch with ten partners in the wealth sector, including Charles Schwab, BlackRock and Addepar, the latter with nearly 10,000 billion dollars in monitored assets.
The suite includes connectors to custodians, wealth managers and technology providers in the wealth sector, along with skills dedicated to meeting preparation, portfolio analysis, compliance review, drafting post-meeting notes, succession management and client onboarding.
Anthropic has provided compliance checks with mandatory approval for critical activities and documentation designed for audit trails and governance processes, central elements for a heavily regulated sector. The final criterion always remains in the hands of the consultant, not the algorithm.
The launch is part of a phase of increasing adoption of Claude in the managed savings sector: last June Janus Henderson had announced a suite of AI tools based on the same model for investment and customer service teams.
The partners insist on the complementary, not substitutive, nature of the technology. Legal responsibility and professional judgment remain with the consultant, they are not delegated to the system, a point that Anthropic and its partners repeat in every official statement related to the launch.
In addition to Schwab, the list of launch partners includes BlackRock, Addepar, Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, SS&C Black Diamond, Vanguard, Wealthbox, Wealth.com and Zocks, covering custody, portfolio construction, alternative investments, CRM and estate planning.
